Gold Coast/Coomera Districts

Post by Daniel » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:38 am

Anyone want to list the new callsigns for Gold Coast & Coomera. I assume they have changed a little bit from the old ones.

Haha sorry guys I misworded that. I meant to ask does anyone have the callsigns for the new Gold Coast/Coomera Districts? I know they have changed a lot from the old ones.

I know theres a member on here who might be able to help out he posted in the Incident Alert area a few weeks ago but only posted a couple of callsigns.

I think that member may be me  . (Please note that this is not an official or verified list, and as such has been compiled from various sources, mainly by recreational listening and interest.)

The new Coomera district is basically everything on or west of the M1 motorway from the "old" GC district (Nerang, Mudgy, Coomera), plus the addition of some stations from Logan District (Nth Tamborine, Canungra, Beaudesert and Rathdowney). The Coomera District has a newly formed Traffic Branch, with the original GC District Traffic Branch now living at Robina. Some other units such as CIB etc are now also operating from Coomera HQ.

Firstly, the "old" Gold Coast district callsigns have not changed much, the main change is the addition of the prefix "Golf" to the callsign. This is to avoid confusion between units in different divisions on the radio as (at this stage) both districts are on the same channels. (Eg G250 at Runaway Bay, and C250 at Beaudesert).

Golf (GC District) Units

100-125 Inspectors and senior officers
249 District Duty Officer (DDO)

200-209 Broadbeach (Supervisor 400) Beats 800-806

230-234 Surfers (Supervisor 403) Beats 830-837 (Vans 330-333)
235-238 Palm Beach (Supervisor 404)
250-253 Runaway bay (Supervisor 407) Beat 850
290 Robina (Supervisor 409) Beat 890/91

410-415 Tactical Crime Squad (TCS)
460-463 Broadbeach Special Duties
464-467 Southport Special Duties

650-654 Dog Units
660-667 Water police 4WD / Launches

900-990 Station Rostered Traffic (EG 910 Southport)
960-964 Motorcycles
970-977 Traffic Units
T314/323 Speed Camera

Will do a separate post for the "Charlies", after a short break

Thanks a lot mate! Thats a really good list.

In the next few months Coomera should get their own Dog Squad and SOCO's as well but that wont be for a while they probably still share with Gold Coast like Caboolture used to do with Redcliffe pre-2009

Does anyone have some frequencies for the coomera area and the where abouts of the repeater ? There was a listing on here for a coomera frequency but there doesn't seem to be anything on it.

469.275 (Ch 116) will get you the Coomera District (Analogue). The western area of this district (ex Logan - Canungra etc) is covered by 468.775 (Ch 76).
