Further to the previous posts i have it on good authority that the surf clubs and lifeguards are going digital (6.25 khz) and using the icom idas handhelds and mobiles to accomplish this.
At this stage 2013 is the implementation date.
Naturally this makes virtually all of their current equipment obselete as it is analogue 12.5 khz spacing.

Have all of the channels gone to NXDN or IDAS? Or mixed bag at the moment.

I'm guessing they are will be keeping watch on the few that are analogue
